So I know this is late… again. but yeah its been one hell of a bad week. I was giong to get into bitching and whining about all the ticky-tacky bs from the week until I saw Steve over at Dueling Analogs had a bit of worse one when he got some bum news. So we’ll just say it wasn’t that great a week and leave it at that!

Okay now that we’re over that, some web artists have been talking about Sumo Sacs, the newest Sumo bean bag product. I’d love to get one of these and see how much relaxation I can get in some that I can form to fit whatever position I want to sit in. Mmm, I’m getting chills just thinking about being able to get that chill. I’m gonna go get some shuteye, this comic and week took a lot out me, laters all.

Trials 2: Second Edition is a physics-based stunt-racing game created by Helsinki, Finland-based studio RedLynx. The developer’s previous releases include Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command for the DS and PSP.

In Trials 2, players control a masochistic individual on a motorcycle who’s got it in his mind to climb, flip and sacrifice life and limb to make his way through all manner of obstacle courses. Course types are separated by various objectives. These include “Wheelie”, where points are awarded for driving on one wheel; “Flips”, where extra time and points are awarded for doing flips; and Dynamic, which sets you on courses filled with any variety of obstacles. These are in addition to the general track compilations of various difficulties. RedLynx has made a habit of distributing new tracks via free patches as well.

Okay its late, I’m tired, and I still need to work on my Legend of the Five Rings character. So let me just say, don’t forget 9 11! The day that lead to loss of your privacy from the government via the patriot act. Who needs probable cause when you have the almighty Patriot Act. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to stop burying my victims in the park and go some places more secluded… I’m off to Pen n Paper land. Lates.

Every week I usually can’t wait to watch a new episode of The 1UP Show. For this week and the last they’ve been running “special” episodes; I put this weeks’ episode off for a couple of days, but I just now finished watching it and I couldn’t help but to rush here and share it. As much as I’ve come to dislike recycling content here, this must be seen!

This weeks’ episode is 40 minutes of a dinner meeting between Mark MacDonald (Editor: EGM), Erik Wolpaw (Writer: Portal), Dylan Cuthbert (President: Q Games) and Jonathan Mak (Creator: Everyday Shooter). This video is utterly fascinating. If you’ve never thought of game designers as artists, or of games as art, and these discussions don’t make you think twice about your stance, I can’t help you. The designers give insights into their varrying creative processes, talk of their past projects and even their gaming habits and what it’s like to play a game as a designer. Please, do yourself a favor and give this a watch. Also, feel free to comment with your thoughts and if I should keep posting things like this or not.
