I really have to take back what I said about this game… In the end its assholes teaming up and farming newcomers. Don’t play this game if you’re looking for something fun in the long run. As Sokk would say, “Worst Game Ever!”

  1. All the web-based strategy games (non-flash) that I’ve played have been nothing close to casual. In fact, the only one I played through to the end of a round was very cut-throat. Our “guild” was 1st or 2nd before getting nearly wiped out in one day. I got bumped back significantly, but a few of my teammates we’re strong enough to stay somewhat competitive despite the other team going on to win overall (by far). It was a very interesting experience, but not one I wish to relive.

Let me know how this one works out. Sokk also pointed me to a zombie one that looked a little fun and different from the norm. For some reason the games with distinct maps are a lot more interesting to me. (though I’m not sure if they’re really adjacent)

  2. this one buildings can take hours in real life before their done, and i mean 1 building and you can only build 1 thing at a time. if you are powergaming something like this, god help you for having nothing better to do with your life.

  3. I’ve thought about programming something like this myself. It seems logistically within reach for my skills. It’d never get popular, though. And if it did, I couldn’t afford a good enough server. And if I could, it’d probably get hacked. heh.

  4. Your new response to the game is fairly typical of these types of games. They’re pretty treacherous as evidenced by my first comment. It’s definitely not for casual players. Those types of players are better off with the wide variety of fun flash games.
